         With a subtle melodic quality and heady/poetic track titles such as “Love is the wind (and wind is the rope we tie ourselves)”, “Do not let time slip through your fingers fast and painless”, and “We need men who can dream of things that never were”, The Sublime Power of the Path waltzes through a gentle breezeway of easy, immersive orchestral ambience, employing both synthetic and organic instrumentation in its quest for that perfect sit spot.
          In doing so, Eleftheriou and company have created a versatile and nimble recording that has a touch more class than your stereotypical new age collection, incorporating classical and chamber elements that imbue the instrumental record with a strong sense of soundtrack and place, as if constructed for a film that hasn’t yet been made. Still, there’s strong sense that what’s being aimed for is somehow transcendental, and thus The Sublime Power of the Path will probably still do well with the wine and yoga set as well as with those searching for something a little deeper.
         This is soundtrack music, morning music, meditative music, or else just some good headphone material to throw on and go traipsing through your nearest forest or open space.
